Panser- og Artillerimuseum

It’s all about cannons and tanks. We offer free admission for the entire household

From medieval trebuchets (catapults), through the 16th-century “Anholt Cannon” and the “beautiful” bronze cannons of the absolute monarchy, to the steel cannons used at the Dybbøl entrenchments in 1864 – they are all here. And then there are the Sherman tanks that arrived in Denmark in the years following World War II, the Cold War Centurion tank, and the Leopard tank that took part in the so-called “Operation Bøllebank” in Bosnia in 1994.

The vehicles are maintained and still operational. Every single cannon, tank, or truck in the hall has its own story to tell – about technology, about war and peace, and about the society we are all part of.
